Mire Images

This category is actually two separate and distinct genres for us. We photograph the standard wedding configurations with the entire gamut ranging from the engagement shots to the last dance at the reception. In between we can cover the rehearsal event, wedding day with bride and groom dressing, pre-ceremony candid photographs, all of the standard ceremony out to the rice toss heading for the limo. After the ceremony, we will photograph the witness signing, the cake cutting, the garter toss and all of the festivities during the reception.

So that’s the wedding part. During this special event we are also masters at catching those candid moments that really connect the bride and groom to their friends and families meeting, sometimes for the first time. Usually the bride and groom are busy dressing or being posed for the normal formal wedding pictures and miss these memorable moments. We capture them so the complete experience is available for viewing later.

What is really different is our ‘Just You’® photographs where we bring the bride and her gown into our studio prior to the wedding (prior to the cake, wine and other implements of destruction) to get the most important photograph of the wedding. Even if your best friend is photographing your wedding, make sure you contact us for this special photograph.

Sometimes the photograph you need of your building or interior can be done with that pocket camera or cell phone that everyone has with them. It may be as high as 80-90% of those times.

What we at Mire Images want, is those 10-20% that require special lighting, high quality lenses and an knowledge of how to make your project stand out from the crowd.

This could be the model home of a custom home builder, the $10 Million dollar home a Realtor® is trying to sell or the interior project of an Interior Designer.

Do you want the photograph taken at a certain time of day to emphasize the scenery or from an elevation to showcase the size of the dwelling and property? How about showcasing the special features that make this home unique?

Statistically, the first and most often grabbed item in the event of some catastrophe is the family photo book. Why? Because it contains all the emotional memories of people’s friends, families, vacations, graduations, the birth of the first grandson, and many, many more.

It is the photograph of the family that lives on generations past the lives of those in the photographs. It is the history and lineage that generations will look at and ask questions like, “Mom, what was Great-Grandfather Paul really like?”

At Mire Images photography, family portraits are the heart and soul of the photography business. From it comes the long term relationships we are committed to building within our community. From it comes the connections we desire in expanding those we can make a difference with.

By capturing the clear relationships that exist in the family unit, we preserve for the next generations, the joy and spark that existed back then, so they may experience it today.

So why leave one of life’s most precious treasure to the hobby photographer. We will capture the heart, soul and spirit of the moment for you forever.

There are special times when it’s important to someone to have a special photograph made of just themselves. It may be for a loved one. It may be for a career in modeling or acting. Or it may just be a gift they give themselves because they feel so special in that moment.

As you look at our portrait photography, notice the expressions; what are they saying to you? Notice the lighting, the positions; all are deliberate and are used to help the client express themselves in the way that is important to them. More than once I’ve heard a client say, “I’ve never knew I could look like that.”

Each different, each unique. We have no ‘set’ way of photographing a portrait. We can come close to duplicating a particular ‘look’ if that is what you’re looking for. However, remember each photograph is an expression, in the moment, of the person in front of the camera, and as such will only be unique to you.

Those portraits can be of a head shot variety, glamour, boudoir, playful or any number of creative expressions you desire. Let’s talk about what yours is.

Glamour photography, while a form of portrait, is, with us, a step up and beyond the normal portrait. It usually involves props, clothing, makeup, lighting and positions that wouldn’t normally be considered in the regular portrait photograph. One of our unique talents is getting the client to relax and be themselves. Yes, even you, the person who never takes good pictures. We will work with you to discover what it is you are really passionate about or happy about until that experience shows up in the photographs. We had one gentleman who was stiff as a board until we uncovered how important it was to him that his wife saw his full smile in the photograph. Click, click, click and we were done. This could involve on location shooting, bear skin rugs and special photo processing and beyond.
A special type portrait is the commercial or business headshot. This is usually taken in a more business oriented outfit, be it a suit, dress suit, shirt and tie or even a uniform. Occasionally it may be necessary to do it on location due to scheduling or because the client wants his business subject in the background of the photograph. We can provide simple, one size fits all backdrops, or if the client prefers, something of a more custom nature. Lets talk about it.

A question for you: at how many of those events are you in the photographs? Or are you the one behind the camera, missing out on sharing those moments with everyone else because you’re too concerned you will not get that ‘one shot’? Or worse still, did you have your uncles son who just got his camera try and capture those ‘moments’ because it was so inexpensive? And now what-the moment is gone and the photographs, well....?

At Mire Images, we will bring as many photographers as you need to capture all of those memorable moment photographs. At larger weddings, we may have 3 or more photographers at any given time in the different areas; One shooting the formal, another shooting the bride dressing, another one or two shooting the people arriving and greeting each other, sometimes after years of separation.

Do either the bride or groom get to experience those moments? Of course not, they’re busy getting ready. It’s our job to capture the moment so they may relive it when they return from the honeymoon.

Other corporate events, like grand openings and city wide celebrations require several cameras capturing the action photographs all over the event.

It’s also important, at some of the events, to get that ‘Grab and Grin’ shot with the VIP, celebrities and other notables who may be sponsoring or other wise lending their name and presence to the event.
